I just passed the flats, and it looks like they're still no further on.  With the rate they were going at yesterday, I half expected to arrive home from work to find them completely demolished.

to Urban Glasgow Danielbhoy

Great photos

Had forgotten that they were also coming down. Noticed they were all empty the last time I took a walk through there a couple of months back.

Do you have any idea of what's planned for the area once it's been flattened Alex?

It is difficult to get anyone who knows what is going on with these regeneration areas. There may have been meetings with local residents sometime ago to discuss the demolition and what could possibly replace all the houses that are being demolished.

I will try and find out if there are any details available but feel that due to the current economic situation it may be that their plans may have to change.

Danielbhoy, thanks so much for sharing photos. My family moved into that block in May 1973 when they first opened. Following a house fire in November 1998 my mum moved from the top floor 4 apartments to the house directly below which was a wee one bedroomed house. My mum was the last tenant out in November 2008 and has now moved into a lovely new house in Balornock.

I had been driving through Sighthill twice a week to try and catch the demolition but it was done when I was on holiday in Majorca

Here are some of the photos I took a few months ago, then some when I got back from holiday
