All have free accounts just a matter of choosing your poison.
Use the image address usually found near your picture on the page somewhere...
(With Flickr Its Below)
Insert on page highlight the addy and press the Img* tab and it should look similar to below
|
Got round to doing the Flickr Account Chaps
Thankfully - success, Cheers Cybers
Compare with the untreated version, not completely perfect, spent a bit of time on it - I put down a date of around October 1974 tho it could be September as the tree on the left in the old cottage garden is in bloom, people are walking about in light-ish clothing and the Labour Election poster looks semi-fresh lol but definitely before Streaps pic taken in May 1975 of course.
While I'm here, here's another one from The North - Springburn Road across from the old St Rollox Offices - Mitchell Library picture which was dated 1976
Here's one of Super Streaps pics from this section which he felt was poor quality, so I've cleaned it up a bit and took the bluriness away.
I have a lot of various pics from various sources, all from the 70's so I'll post them up soon as well.

Hi kev, I thought you were going to point me in the direction of new photos of Springburn, alas I have that collection, the photographer was kind enough for me to copy them, great photos sure enough.
Its a pity he started doing Springburn when a lot of it was already demolished.
One of these days I will get the street where I lived in Springburn

This one photo has brought back so many vivid memories of Byres Road, but this one brought back hidden memories. To the right of the picture, past the Subway lay the Grosvenor Cafe (original) and Coopers Fine-Fare. Futher down out of view there was a shop that sold furs and many more individual shops of good quality. |

Steapadair (or anyone else) do you have any images of the original hand-cranked bridge over the canal at the top of Northpark Street in Maryhill?
I have a bit of local oral history on that location. I did cover it on another board, but with the suite of quality images here it seems fitting to re-tell. _________________ Well I am. |
