I had to get a grip of his collar and tell him to calm down at an after gig party (in the Glasgow School of Art) once. Mid Eighties it was and he was out of his face on a fast powder of some description.
Totally obnoxious beforehand - perfectly reasonable afterward .. he even left cash behind the bar for drinks for me and the lads.
