aw shucks  

congrats to norrie for taking a phot 5 yrs ago, matching one taken nearly 30 yrs ago, just so we could compare them on here!

actually, the thing i noticed is a lot of the buildings are still there, albeit sandstone coloured again, instead of blackened.

i take it the new buses on the bridge belong to 'first' - i got a flash of LRT there!   *ducks*

Aye know what you mean Norrie .It reminds me of getting caught in the rain as a small boy and coming home with my duffle coat soaked  
Alex tell the missus that a couple of them still hang out in the west end some Friday nights[which they do] and they certainly dont look like that anymore
