Yoker Mill Road Building Works.There seems to be some sort of building work being carried out near me on Yoker Mill Road public playing fields.
Local scuttlebutt seems to be toward the 'new sports centre' train of thought but I can't find anything online to confirm this.
Does anyone have any details?

Who is the main contractor and who is the security?

There's nothing signposted as of yet Stu, just the topsoil scraped off and the shuttering laid for founds etc.
The only security so far is a portable panel fence.
I've managed to catch sight of vans leaving the site but they've been too far away to catch the firms' name.

Possibly .. there's a fair few old boilers round here that look like they've climbed out of a fresh grave.

The fencing is heras fencing... if there is security on site, they'll have their signs up in no time... keep an eye on it :)

Doorstop maybe you should speak with the Planning officer you spoke with about Drumchapel Shopping Centre. He will also cover that area and may know of any Planning Consent.

No problem Doorstop. When the Council finally get round to making this information available online you would have been able to find this information easily.

Some progress on researching this ... some light stroking of the workies today provided the information that the area is being developed into a multi-surface sports area with combined basketball, FAS football and tennis courts. There's also an 'outdoor gym' area, whatever that is.
More details if I can get the buggers at Land Services to a) put me through to the right department and b) answer their bloody phones.
