Is that a pendolino on that line? If so... wheres it going? Paisley Canal?

Yes, but that's as far as it goes. It uses Shields Loop to turn the unit coming from Polmadie to Glasgow Central and vice versa so that the First Class portion is always at the London end (front) on departing Glasgow. This was also done when the trains were loco hauled.

Ahh right.... that makes sense. More sense than Paisley Canal being served by state-of-the-art trains with first class compartments :)
