Urban Glasgow Swap Shop

Anyone think a wee swap shop would be a good idea?

Someone always wants what you think is rubbish.

First item.

Boss DS-1 Distortion Pedal

About 10 years old but used for a maximum of 30 minutes. I bought this in 1999/00 and didn't really have a use for it.

So I'll take offers of your Computer, Photography, Literature, Music or anything else you have lying around.

Remember your rubbish could be my goldmine.

Quote:
The DS-1 has been famously used in songs such as Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Kurt Cobain used the DS-1 while making the Nevermind album. The DS-1 has also been a trademark of the sounds of such acclaimed guitarists as Joe Satriani and Grunge McGurgan from Delayed Reaction, who use it mostly as a booster, John Petrucci of Dream Theater, Steve Vai, who uses a DS-1 with Robert Keeley's 'Ultra' modification and the Analog Man DS1/Pro mod. The DS-1 is normally used by electric guitarists, but some bassists have been known to use the pedal. Some bass players include Chris Wolstenholme of Muse on the album Showbiz, Al Cisneros of Om during live shows, as well as Mark Stoermer of The Killers using the pedal live with a Boss GE-7 EQ to remove treble.

A wide and varied selection of music- all trans to my PC now !

PM me - 1st come 1st served, you will need to come & pick them up though.

I must admit that it was with great trepidation that I looked in here after Dickyheart had posted on the swap thread.

Good to see ya dicky (oo err misus) Keep well.

Swap Shop is failing. We need more goods.

Can't believe there aren't any guitarists wanting a bit of distortion.
Fjord

I had my eye on it LL after selling my BOSS HM2 a few years ago but I use a Korg Pandora with headphones these days.
glasgowken

Come on you must have something.
Alex Glass

Anyone want a copy of this wee book

It documents the Story of Begg, Coulsand & Company Ltd, of Glasgow. One hundred year of wire in 56 pages.

This is a very, very rare book and isn't generally available to the public.

That's damn unfortunate. If you have a change of heart you know where I am.

Next in line is:

The World's Greatest Railway Journeys - Europe Edition 12 DVD Box Set

Never played, bought as a present or something.

Amazon Link

So what have you got?

My pic.

LowLight

sputnik

yip i second that,lg is a nice bloke and i am proud to say that i pointed him in the direction of u.g.our gain i say.
LowLight

No one for the pedal or the Train DVD's?
cheesylion

This is a long shot but I might as well try here first.

I'm looking for an electric guitar (preferably strat-type but will accept ANY type) that's maybe buggered beyond use. I don't mind what's wrong with it as it's just for part of my cabaret act. If you've got one lying about that's fucked and you need the space, I'll gladly take it off your hands. Must be cheap or free.

Cheers.

Not so much a swap as a give away.Old Canon Eos500n with 28-80mm & 80-200mm lenses bag and instrs.
Obviously a few years old but owned by me from new and in excellent condition.Know it's not state of the art but anyone genuinely interseted and that can make use of it plz PM me.May even be able to deliver if not too far away. Can't be bothered advertising and probably worth very little these days.Would rather it went to someone on the site or someone they know that could make use of it or lenses.

LowLight

PM sent Stevie.

Alex
Found this post by chance, I would be very interested in that book if it is still avalible. Amoung many other things, I collect histories of any scottish engineering firms. If I knew what stuff you are interested in, I could see if I had anything I could offer you, if you wanted to sell it, suggest a price and I'll consider it or if you wanted to name a charity I could make a donation.
Cheers

Sat Nav

I'm in the market for a decent Sat Nav if anyone is upgrading theirs or has one lying around they rarely use.

I don't have much to swap so it'll have to be for cash.

Doorstop

Have you got a phone that'll take NDrive Salty mate? .. If you have then a quick perusal of the usual suspects should get you a perfectly acceptable sat nav (my brother has it installed on his Omnia and it's actually very good) and all for bugger all pennies.

I had a look on their site and they have an N73 running the software on their photos. I don't have a GPS chip on my phone, though, so does that mean I'd need to get a receiver from somewhere?
