Recording studios - suggestions wanted.I have it in mind to do a spot of recording.Anyone have any dealings with local studios that you would vouch for ? I want to do a days work, Primarily acoustic guitar with a few overdubs and a touch of bass & electric. But I'm looking for an impressive result. (They would have to have a good turd polisher !!!!!!!!) Cheers guys & gals. |

LG......there is an advertisement on rock radio just now advertising their studio.
i think it is £80 for a 10 hour session. unfortunately i can't remember the name of the studio. maybe a listen to the station or giving them a call will help. |

Hey Fastmnet - thanks for the info - I don't get to listen to Rock radio (alrightnotaaaaaarf !) unless I'm in the car at weekends... I'll keep my ear open, but if you do, there's a pint in it !

There is a studio in Anchor Lane (Behind Merchant's House) which is good. My brother uses it a lot. They have a couple of different sized studios and I am sure they would have something to accommodate your needs.
There is also a community studio in Pollok run by an organisation called SWAMP. I know the guy who runs it if you want I can have a work with him to see what they would charge

LG....i head the ad on the way into work this morning and it is definately carrier waves.
it is £90 for a ten hour session which includes production,mixing and mastering. hope this helps. |

I had a cracking time on Sunday at the studio.
I managed to get a lot of work done - some of it succesfull ! Thanks to those that made suggestions - my CDs are a giveaway - if you would like one ( godaloneknowswhyyouwould) pop allong to the Lismor in Partick this Thursday (5th Feb) between 5 & 8 and I'll hand one over - or if you PM me your addy I will send one in the post.
