Pseudo sixties and seventies photosWas looking at some of my old slides shot in the eighties and early ninties and remembered I had a thing back then for grainy pictures.. Bought a whole load of out of date Fuji slide film 1600 iso that Jessops were selling at the time and was hooked
Have just bought Adobe elements and its amazing to say the least
Anyway thought it might be a bit of fun to try and create some shots Ive taken recently as if they were taken in the 60s or 70s

Had a wee bash at this in CS3...
Did some before but aged them to about the 1900's so it was a nice wee excercise revisiting the technique.

There are some nice techniques here, all achieving different but dated looks.
I hope you're all writing this down for the 'How to's...'

pics 2 & 4 of kev's OP are fantastic - the only spoiler being the flats are intact, rather than half-built!

Arches under the railway bridge in Cumberland st Gorbals
The steps down from Springburn rd next to the old library..these would have teeming with locomotive workers going to and fro the Hyde park works...they are also the steps used in the Jimmy Boyle film A sense of freedom when they high tailed it from the uniformed cops

Aye...would have been good Norrie and if I knew how to use the software properly I could probably make them look like that....There is something very photogenic about the Flats at Norfolk ct/st..Have taken loads of pics from loads of different angles and next will be shooting some close ups..they will be missed when they are gone

OK . this was taken with an old Halina 1000 that Scary was kind enough to let me have from a demo site. I gave it a clean, bought some black and white film, and hey presto.
Just got the pics back after having to wait two weeks for them ...I'm deffo going to go get some cheap film from lidl or somewhere and have another go...I like it

Not Glasgow but I tried to make this look like the 1950s like one of those awful
films set in Scotland where no bastard acting is actually Scottish...
