Welcome to Urban Glasgow T Bowers.
Thanks for bringing something new to me and also ensuring that we had a measured discussion on the old football issue. It is always good to get these things out in the open and is an opportunity to remind us all why we enjoy this site.

Firstly, to UG, t bowers.
Secondly, you didn't spell "boy" wrongly. You spelt it as you saw fit.
Thirdly, thread tidied up....
Fourthly, and most importantly.
If I see other "members" of this forum (who should know a damn site better)
"welcoming" newbies to UG like that again AND then deciding what (they think)
is and isn't acceptable on here, I'll be taking action on it....
- pm's to me if you've got a problem with this.
If you think the above is aimed at you, it probably is.
I don't want to see anything like this again on here.
End of.

Oh no mistaking it was levelled square at me...
I have no problem with it... BUt if i did the same thing from the other side i would be jumped on and the thread would be tidied again... Remember the Ibrox pic.
I should have known better indeed and I apologise...
Comfortable for one is not comfortable for another... I have no need to pm you about that.
Back on topic though I am sure there is a copy of that in a frame in the Sqaure Peg with some glasgow jockey Brannigan or somethings photo.

Is that still going ?
Know a guy who is an avid collector of the wee red book to the point it almost is an obsession now.
He trades the bloody things on Ebay.
Might take a donner into the Square Peg today and have a look see if that framed thingy is still on the wall in there.

Thing is it can get heated Kev and that's when the problems start...
As a guy who has an Irish Catholic Wife i do not have umbrage with it I just dont see where it fits in here and that was my initial if convoluted point.
Probably better known in bairds than i ever was in the louden or bristol bars.
It seems i caused offence whilst not taking offence myself ....
Such is life but it proved the point.

Hi pablo, did you know that there was no such person as Pat Roller, the name came from the word, patroller.
I got this info from two guys who worked in the record, years ago.
Pat Roller was in The Record not that long back, last year, I was surprised to see it, brought back memories.
Bye for now, norrie

Hi all
I remember as a wee boy waiting for my Granada to come back from the match he would give me his paper that has a full page sometimes a double page poster of the top players at the time.
Can't remember which paper but i had those posters all over my bedroom wall.
Later on I would get a lift over the turnstiles while he & my uncle sold rosettes & badges outside the gates.
I won't say who i support but wee jinxy is my all time fav player

Funnily enough i like Jinky... I also liked Tommy Burns got my vote over Hoy for the new arena name. Danny McGrain Davie Provan Johnny Doyle all great Scotland and Celtic Players.
Davie Cooper Ally McCoist DJ Derek Parlane these guys played a game that entertained millions all heroes one and all.
I dont get the despising myself.
As for "user names" i personally have no problems with as i stated previous. And as the topic is banned in the rule set i just dont see where it fits in.
The Sunday Mail pics adorned my wall as a kid the last gasp header the 2 footed tackle it mattered not one hoot if it was Liverpool or Arbroath ... I was considered a wierd kid.
