Nifty Fifty

Bokeh-tastic.

Show us your favourite Nifty Fifty shots here. OK there may only be 3 of us with this lens but I'm feeling selfish   .

Alex Glass

Great photos Lowlight.

Look forward to seeing more.
Lone Groover

Hadn't previously noted you as a show off.

File under elitist.

Stuball

Show off and elitist? Count me in on that one

These have been posted before but they are all 50mm shots. I sometimes go out on walkabout and only use the nifty fifty.

Non Canon versions allowed?

I've got a 25 year old Manila *********** that still sees regular action.

Must be my age....

Think 50mm is 50mm but then i suppose there will be a pedant somewhere with an answer as to why your 50mm is disallowed

Oh jigs, we need a working party set up to discuss Alans 50 mm 1.7 thing

1. Is it effectively cheating?
2. 1.7mm...hmmm, so whits wrong with 1.4? might give the photies a slightly different look!
3. Diz it fit on a sooper digital camera?...if not Na Na Na Na
4. Do ye get that wonderful bokeh?
5. And...when you are out and about do you pretend to onlookers it's a NIFTY FIFTY? ....you do realise there is definitely a different way to pose with a NIFTY
So after discussion, coffee, and more pish talk...should it be allowed...colleagues?
AlanM

The 1.4 is a couple of hundred pounds dearer.

Nice bokeh, lovley Minolta colours and works perfectly on my DSLR

Och i say we need some posting of samples and a delegation party chaired by someone of great importance at first i thought about nominating Jeff Healey then i remembered about his unfortunate predicament.
So anyone got a suggestion to the chair.
