Napiershall St. School

This question came up on the WE site, can anyone shed any light.

Quote:
Greetings from Streetsville,Ontario,Canada.(Check us out on the web -Streetsville the village in the City).

During the 50,s I attended Napiershall Street School. On the upper floor, probably the 1st floor, outside the offices, there used to be a glass encased model of a ship.
I remember it as fairly large,as I was kind'a small.
Can anyone shed any light on this ??I have met 3 other ex-Napiershall,pupils who live round here and they can't remember a thing about it.
Over the years I have pursued this with, but no success.

Regards Jimmy.

I attended "Napie" from 1959 to1965!...I remember the ship well. It was situated outside the headmasters office on the first floor.  It was actually "half-a-ship"....mounted in a glass cabinet with a glass/mirror back to give it a 3D effect

This pic is from the Mitchell Library Archives....The ship sat on a ledge at the far end, round about the left-hand arch, next to the two pics on the wall in that pic.

i still run into some of my old pals from the old "black & white" days, so if I get any more info, I'll post it later!
