Monuments and memorials

After posting some pics in the monuments And memorials i realised it was under the section Glasgow from the past.....    

So I have searched and couldn't find a thread for monuments outwith Glasgow so i thought i would start one.....

Wallace monument.........................In Newton ST Boswells in the borders.

thats an ucking fugly statue.... seen it a few times down there and never once had the urge to photograph the travesty.
It rates right up there with the mel gibson one in Stirling.

Flora MacDonald's grave (the tall Celtic cross one) on Skye.


Memorial in Oslo to the Norwegians who fought from here during WWII as The Norwegian Brigade.

It's the miliatary cemetary at Netley Hospital, Netley, Southampton. Pic taken 25+ years ago.

Can't recall if it was seperate areas for different countries, but think it may have been.

Ottawa War Memorial

Hope I've put this in the right place. Apologies if not and the annual is down the back of the shorts if req'd!!

Took these pix in Ottawa this summer and thought it's one of the most impressive memorials I'd seen.
