Lochwinnoch RenfrewshireI had a great few hours at this place yesterday..I'm not a bird watcher but really enjoyed it. It's an RSPB nature reserve, and has a shop, drinks machine and biscuits  /crisps /flapjacks  , and toilets.
There are hides at the centre itself and more on the wooded walk.
All the pics I took were from the centre hide..got not a sausage on the wooded walk  ..cause awww the birdies were up hiding in the trees  , but lovely scenery all the same.

Brilliant pics WM. Yes, Lochwinnoch is a nice place to go for a wee wander.

Thank you very much ..I think it would be a good place for UG to go..good short walks..hunners of burds  and insects and plantlife. I think a pub nearby too and a train station right across the road.  Maybe one for the future.

My thoughts when i seen the prices in there was "nae wunner monks look miserable aw the time "
Though the food was good I might add.

I'm checking out the local area, there are a few local pubs in Lochwinnoch, so next time I'm there i'll see what they are like ..ah like to keep things cheap as chips

This is a little church along Semple Loch...fantastic wee place....
It only take 2o minutes to walk along to it from the visitor centre.

Nice one was that the Heli tour or something that left Glasgow for a bit of sunshine ?
If it was the latter option did they not go mental at airport security with your 2 rags and bottle of Windowlene.
