Oh hell! I've never heard of half of these bands.
I got so excited by the title "Guess the 74 bands". Here was me ready to bask in the glory of my vast knowledge of Mud, Suzi Quatro, Sweet, Slade... I would even admit to knowing David Essex, The Rubbettes, Alvin Stardust and Paper Lace.
Oh yes... "Guess the '74 bands" was the thread for me... but apparently it's got nothing to do with 1974.
Och well, as the New Seekers sang in the first new number one of 1974 "You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me"

Nice one cybers.... but it seems I already have a problem with ma Showaddywaddys cos I can't think of a clever answer to that... errr... you know how earlier I said I was "ready to bask in the glory of my vast knowledge of Mud, Suzi Quatro, Sweet, Slade" etc. ...can I take that back now and just go and eat some humble pie.... wait a minute... hang on... HUMBLE PIE!... they were around in '74 fronted by Steve Marriott... oh yesss! Thank God my musical credentials are still partially intact
