Thanks Alex, I had never walked up close to that statue before - it has a lot more going on than I thought.   The man on the other end of that hand is very moving..

I have been up close to that but never seen that before. Strange how when you look at something like that it really brings home to you the reality of war.

Superb photso guys.
Great pics Scary...takes my mind back to trying to climb all over them as a wee urchin Elder Park was a great park in the late 60s early 70s.  Mrs Elder was one of the most elegent statues i had ever seen.
LG....isn't it great to really look at all the sculptures, the whole thing and in part...lovely shots.

so..a wee part of Donald for me (his buttons)....

We were out and about that day and just happened to be passing and noticed that they had just finished laying these paving stones. They look great. Similar to the ones on Candleriggs
