That is an excellent shot, just shows society today Norrie
Also when I think about the subject of photos which include children in them.....50 years from now people looking at images will notice the lack of children in them and wonder what on earth was happening, were children not allowed out?

I just noticed all those sproggs are fastened into the walky-thing....
Whilst i can understand the need how long before a kid takes it parents to court for unlawful shackling
Though for the time being this is a brilliant idea.

OK, I give in. What kind of post production are you using Cybers?
A bit more than HDR........ pretty damned impressive dude.
|
mondobongo
|
Absolutely stunning image there Cybers!
Is that thon comedian David Mitchell on the motorbike?
|
Doorstop
|
I was going to ask pretty much the same question actually.
Is it a cut and paste hybrid between an HDR and a standard image?
|
cybers
|
Erm lately i have been giggling as very few of the HDR are actual HDR.
It has been mildly amusing watching comments roll in concerning this in Flickr.
It's actually a Photoshop plugin called Topaz Adjust then it gets finished with a little manual dodge and burn and a sweep over with imageonix Noiseware.
|
norrie
|
Hi cybers, you lost me after erm
Bye for now, norrie

Worry not Norrie heres a better explanation than i could manage

Sorry to detract from the great picture and thread Cybers.
He's on that stupid Mitchell and Webb programme where they repeat the same fekn sketch ad nauseum about the WWII pilots speaking new London east end... and it is him on the bike!

Felt sorry for this poor wee bugger
Whilst standing there looking dejected there was an idiotic pain in the arse spotty manager passing him giving him all sorts of encouragement.
Staun Up Straight
Look Happy
I Mean it
Wit yi dain
Look Cheerful
Be glad you have a joab...
Wull yi look happy ya wee ride....
I passed him also and gave him a bit of encouragement in ear shot of spotty
Next time he passes shove that sign right up his pipe...
Happily the wee man was made of sterner stuff than me but he did smile.
If ever there was a moral reason to bypass Mcdonalds
|
mondobongo
|
Maybe he is deliberately pointing the sign at the manager to comment on his sexual prowess... 30 seconds
|
norrie
|
Hi cybers, I have seen others totting that sign, got to start somewhere.
Perhaps its a punishment
Bye for now, norrie
|
cybers
|
Problem is they probably only change the head on the bloody thing...
Noo brush ya wee oink !!!
What was actually busting my chops about the whole situation was the constant nipping at him by someone who looked a year older but had a MANAGER badge.
Start Somewhere
I would have started at the side of his head couple of jabs to the ribs and finished with a pile driver.
The kid was made of sterner stuff than me though
|
norrie
|
Hi cybers, right enough calling someone a manager doesnt make to you one.
I have worked with a few who couldnt manage a menage

I think so too, they have taken on a lot of youngsters, part time, and the last twice I have been, they have not known enough about the subject, or how to use the products.
|
cybers
|
The american girl whom i initially dealt with was wonderful till she spoke to the manager who it turned out funnily enough was a youngster who knew bugger all about scots retail law and tried woefully to pass on his disinformation to me.
Well Mr Loud-boots stirred from his slumber and laid forth a furious wrath and anger, 10 months old already repaired you never gave me my reciept back last time it was fixed dont talk sheckt then i called Livingston on my mobile who said yes David we do have that in stock bring it in why did you go there in the first place did we not warn you about such foolishness and folly.
Livi 2 mins in the door armed with new replacement and then a general 10 min shoot the breeze with friendly conversation.

Hi guys ,try Merchant City Cameras, Parnie st, just off Saltmarket.
I have dealt with them since I took up photography and have never been ripped off by them, they have been helpful to me over the years
The shop used to be called Quiggs.
Bye for now, norrie
|
cybers
|
Wow Used to use Quiggs in Parnie St donks ago for industrial sized rolls of Ilford...
Is it the same place ?
|
norrie
|
Hi Cybers, its changed hands but the guys who now own it had some connection with the previous management
I wont go anywhere else, even though I probably could get cameras cheaper on the net.

I was there a few weeks ago, the woman was very helpful, checked my zoom lens for problems, showed me some lenses and other things, very relaxed, I would definitely go back there.

A similar photo was used by the Evening Times on the 11th.
It was great to be able to take part in this commemoration of the soldiers who have given their lives in defence of everyone. A bonus to be in a reasonable position to take photos as well.
