Excellent. I've always meant to go for a cycle along the route of the old lines
in Paisley, but on reflection I've always valued my life just that bit more...

Thanks peeps, been working in the area for the past 25 years,so can remember when the bridge that carried the station over the main road was still there.
Where the car dealer is,was where a wee garden centre sat.

Newbie here - been lurking for a while. What a fantastic forum!
Anyhoo - as a joining gesture here's a couple of pics of Ferguslie Station with (one of the?) bridges still in place from 1965.

Welcome Joe,
Those are excellent pics by the way.
You can just see what used to be Liptons garage in the first pic.

Excellent pics.
The bridge in the background carried the Paisley Canal line over the line. The
Paisley Canal line at that point is now a cycle path but the bridge is gone, replaced
with an earth embankment.

Thanks Jonno, that telegraph pole has been there for .....well years!
There were a couple of insulators, but over the years they've been smashed......I managed to 'rescue' one that was intact, however,I no longer have it.

Terrific photos Doog Doog. I've walked past there numerous times and haven't paid it any heed. I'll pay close attention next time I'm by. I can only echo the comments about the cycle track.
