Faith In Human Nature

Thought I would post a wee story which happened recently.

As most people will know on 090909 the 13 original Beatles LPs were re-issued on CD remastered.

Being a Beatle fan I had saved some of my recent birthday money to buy a couple of the new CDs. So after work on Wednesday 090909 I took a walk up to the HMV store at the top of Buchanan Street and bought  - Please Please Me, Beatles For Sale, With the Beatles and Abbey Road.

To avoid making a long story boring - I headed for the Central Station for my train and after a bit of a wait and having filled my time I got on the train. It wasn't till I was on the train that I realised I must have left my CDs on the main concourse.

There is another part of this story but I must keep to the main topic here.

Next day on my way to work I took a run into Central Station to enquire at Lost Property if by chance someone had handed in the CDs. To my great surprise the guy explained that a member of the Virgin Train Staff had found my HMV bag and handed it in.

Before anyone makes the comment about the popularity of the Beatles I would like to point out that in the bag was the receipt and as my purchase was made in cash it would have been easy for anyone to go to the shop and ask for the money back.

So to the member of staff at Virgin Trains and if anyone on here could pass on a message please thank the person on my behalf. It is great to see that there are decent people and after a bad couple of hours this act has truly restored my faith in human nature.

THANK YOU
Doog Doog

The CDs were also bought from the old Virgin Store which was turned into Zavvy and is now HMV.

It is strange that there are Two Virgins involved

Like all good storys this one of course has "A BEGINNING" It's "A DAY IN THE LIFE" of Alex Glass
He had decided "All I'VE GOT TO DO" is go to HMV and Buy some Beatles Albums so in he went.
Security was tight so he had to "ACT NATURALLY" but the man looked like he should be "BACK IN THE USSR".
After what had felt like "EIGHT DAY"S A WEEK" he finally got served by "ELEANOR RIGBY" who was looking for a date
With the Thought in his head "EVERYBODY"S TRYING TO BE MY BABY" he was out of there "FREE AS A BIRD" time was
getting on he had to "GET BACK". The Town was a nightmare he knew though that it was "GETTING BETTER"
and with a "GOOD DAY'S SUNSHINE" he was feeling "GLAD ALL OVER"
Making his way to the station with his purchases and his "TICKET TO RIDE" he took a short cut through
"PENNY LANE" where "LONG TALL SALLY" tried to tempt him with "PLEASE PLEASE ME" his reply was "LET IT BE"
and "I'LL BE ON MY WAY" as i prefer the "POLETHENE PAM" :o)

He was not too sure but he thought he seen that "PAPERBACK WRITER" but it was just "SEPTEMBER IN THE RAIN".
"SOMETHING" was hapening up ahead he heard a "SHOUT" just some guy drunk complaining about the "TAXMAN"
tax rebate aye m8 "THAT'LL BE THE DAY" he was thinking "WHEN I GET HOME" it's feet up bit of dinner and
a "LISTEN" to these CD's
He was on the train and "LOVELY RITA" was asking for his ticket when he notice his bag was gone.
he was praying on human nature to hand it in to lost property with the thought "DON'T LET ME DOWN"
"ALL I'VE GOTTA DO" is ask this was gonna be "A HARD DAYS NIGHT" with lots of "CRYING WAITING HOPING"
that the world was kind.
"DO YOU WANT TO KNOW A SECRET" he was in "MISERY" till he asked if anyone had handed in his bag
"THE NIGHT BEFORE" wit's in it it said the man... some CD's replied out ALex "YES IT IS" it was handed in
"YESTERDAY" and that's how he got them back without "TOO MUCH MONKEY BUSINESS"

The simplified version... "He Lost his bag he got it back"
Swear to god i have too much time on my hands these days....
