Drumchapel Memories, late 1950'sA few scanned pics of kids in 'theDrum', late 1950's.
As Tombro, I have been searching for connections to my roots in Glasgow of that time (before emigrating to Australia at the end of 1960) and tonight, albeit on an opposition forum, I have finally made contact with someone who lived in 'theDrum'; and indeed in my street in 'theDrum' in that era. Sadly, I can't work out how to post these pics on that forum, so I have chosen to post them here.

When posting the above pics I added captions, but the captions don't appear on the pics. Where did I go wrong ?

I have eventually found my old pics last night so hopefully I will get them scanned and onto the site as I lived in Drumchapel from 1956 at 3 Airgold Place then 15 Airgold Drive.

This is a First Communion Group from 1957 at the then brand spanking new St Pius' Church. I think it may have been the first Communion held at the Church.
