Hi everyone, 35 years ago, when I was 19, I made a huge teddy bear - he stood 12 feet tall - to raise funds for various charities. Eventually he was sold to the Daily Record, who gave him to Glasgow Zoo at Calderpark in 1974.

I am now writing a book about teddy bears, and a major chunk of this is about the life of this bear, Whom the Record called Mr Happy. I'm trying hard to find anyone who might have memories or better still, photo's of him from his days in Glasgow. I would especially like to know what became of him when the zoo closed, if he was still with them then. He and I, originally came from Southern England.

Maybe somebody on here might have memories of it but I'd suspect it's in a landfill site by now along with the rest of Glasgow Zoo
