Interested in researching the history of your house? Come and be guided through the process of researching local history, and pick up some top tips on presenting your results ..."Researching local history" More and more people are becoming interested in the history of the immediate area in which they live. This course provides the sources, resources and know-how that enables anyone to research the history of their house, street, district or town. The course introduces a wide variety of sources, including official records, maps, photographs, oral history, censuses, directories and newspapers. Students will be guided through their own projects, so please bring a topic.
