Took a nip up there yesterday after seeing something on the news last week.

what a eerie place......it looks like they just boarded evrything up and left.

Pretty sure i posted some on here a while ago.
Place was earmarked for major investment by private developer (Luxury Apts)
It seems to have died a death though.
Site is used by Lothian and Borders Rapid Entry teams for training.
They put all sorts of locks thru the usual how fast can we get in scenario's
They also train police dogs on search and find and you really need to have your wits about you some days as the Police Traffic Depts use it too.

I have even seen L&B Fire Brigade up in the nurses block doing some training.

Pretty sure an ex-member on here got into a bit of a sticky situation for ahem a bit of OLP.

Be Warned the place has extensive security and is patrolled by onsite guards in vans.

Walking round is not a problem but trying to get in is not taken lightly.

Oh and there is signs everywhere saying all dogs must be kept on a lead.
Sound advice indeed as you don't want it eaten by a police hound.

In there most weekends as its a great place to walk my pooch !!!

Nice pics, never heard of this place either. So is it alright to walk about on site taking pics as long as you're not trying to get in?

Yes.....you can just walk around the place.

A lot of people walk their dogs there as well.

there is security on site as well but they don't bother you as long as you are not up to anything dodgy.

if you do see it, watch for a a cameo role, from fish from marillion.

also your allowed to into the church if you arrange it with security. last time i heard anyway. if they find out your hunting ghosts, except the piss to be taken and security becoming very unhelpful.
