I love these old lattice lift shafts and their double scissor gate entrances where you could watch the counter weight glide past in the opposite direction of the lift car.

The heavy duty overhead lights had the desired effect of shielding in theory the witness as the rest of the room was in darkness.

Shame I missed this, but when I went to the museum a few years back I learned something really interesting - the Police in Glasgow is really close to the one in Sweden:
