Very good cybers

I`m not 100% sure what`s going on underneath, but the shopping centre above is being demolished and rebuilt.
I was very surprised at the size of the area below, at a guess I would say it`s 300 metres long from the tunnel entrance at Garrioch Rd to Maryhill Rd and 150 metres across at Maryhill Rd end tapering down to about 40 metres at the tunnel end.

I'm surprised at the amount of space down there too, Scary. The story always
was that they left enough space for a "single platform station" - clearly, this simply
meant that the *entrance tunnel* (for some reason) was only wide enough for a
single track. Seems very odd, looking at these pictures...

WRT the picture above - is that the Northern exit tunnel under Maryhill Road??

Yes James, goes on for about 20 metres then it looks like its been backfilled from other side of the tunnel across the Maryhill Rd.

Don`t know if that`s a possible Stu as the construction company are a bit para and i`m trying to suss them out, but if I can wangle it then I will try to get a few folk in to record it, my pics aren`t the greatest as I just went in and snapped away in the poor light.

James, I followed the track above ground to behind the bingo on Craigmont Drive where you can see the tunnel portal that carries the Forth and Clyde Canal, all the land between Maryhill Rd and the tunnel behind the bingo appears to be filled in.
