I always wanted to go but never got round to it.
It's really not that hard to get to, Train to Ardrossan then a nice ferry trip across.
Should only cost about £15 there and back at worst.
Was thinking maybe one for during the Fair Fortnight.
What do you guys think, a possibility?

Like the sound of that idea I've not been to Arran in years just did a day trip to climb Goat Fell and didn't even have time for a pint until we were on the ferry back.
Thankfully Cal Mac's got a bigger ship these days
