OK for some folks these might be a bit heavy, but for some of us they are important opportunities to learn and maybe even influence what happens around planning and urban design. If anyone wants to meet for coffee and chat over the consultation paper let me know (either here or pm if you prefer).
Scottish Planning Guidance Consultation. This sets out the Scottish Govt ‘s planning policy on different types of development and on environmental issues. The new shorter version of Govt guidance will (hopefully) simply matters by replacing around 17 existing separate papers. The consultation ends on 24th June and the consultation paper can be freely downloaded at:

Designing Places. A Policy Statement for Scotland . Just so happens at the same time Scottish has published the long awaited updating and bringing together of best practice guidance on designing places for sustainability and that work for the people who live and work in them (well that's what they claim )
