It was put in storage. Not sure if it is still in the store or if it has been disposed of.
Don't know who the sculptor was but I am sure there was some discussion on here about this statue. _________________ I had a dream today

Oh, that winged thingy? Hopefully it was melted down because it was hideous. _________________ Now coming at you with 95% more significance, 1% less salt and virtually fat free!

It is called 'The Spirit Of Kentigern' by Neil Livingstone and it was meant to symbolise the Glaswegian's struggle to get out of bed in the morning....I mean, to lift themselves out of the drudgery of city life. Cheery bastard eh?
It was there from 1977 till 2000 when it was put in storage because it didn't fit in with Buchanan Street's snazzy new modern image. But Donald Dewar does apparently!
I like the old lump, it's got a familiarity about it.

I think he was referring to the style of statue fitting in more than the person _________________ Now coming at you with 95% more significance, 1% less salt and virtually fat free!
